IS THE WESTERN AID HELPING OR KILLING AFRICA?
Although the western countries have a lot of contribution to the development of African countries, these aids also had a nagative influence on the African people. As what Bono says in the video, more than 6700 African people die each day because of aids and western countries had gave them vaccacines for cure. But MOYO states in her interview that it is impossible to cure all the African people. Moyo also states that the help in the economy to Africa from these western countries is killing them. Take China as an example, 40 years ago China was just as poor as the African countries now. And through the hard work of Chinese people, China had successfully became a large country without any help during the 40 years. The most important way to help a country is to teach its people how to work hard, and offer more jobs to them, Moyo states at last. In conclusion, the way that the western countries are helping Africa is basically killing them right now,

Map of Uganda

Uganda locates in the middle of Africa, besides Kenya and South Sudan. Uganda has a population estimated at 34.6 million (as of 2011). African communities make up 70% of the population, most of which belong to one of three main ethnic groups—Bantu, Nilotic, and Nilo-Hamitic. The country is considered as an extremely poor country . Its GNI per capita is only 500dollars. The main income of Uganda people is from agriculture, the main plant they plant is corn and rice. Still, Uganda is considered as a “ Heavily Indebted Poor country” (HIPC) since 2000. Uganda has a debt for about 2 billiom. In 2004, the GDP in Uganda reaches 600 dollars per capita. The country has a large amount of wars from the last 2 decades. More than 1.5 million people died during the wars in the past 20 years. Overall, the country is a violent country. The main problem faced by Uganda is still economy, the poor GDP and the difference of the rich and the poor causes the chaos situation inside the country. Several civil wars occurred in the past decades. Uganda has been considered as a poor countries for a long time. And the monarchy in the country make the country hopeless. Although some European countries tried to help Uganda by charity. There are rarely hope for the country to become a big country

Insprial Story of Uganda
A man's best friend can also become his breadwinner, Alex Nkwanga from Uganda reasoned a long time ago.
Alex Nkwanga, a normail man from Uganda, has a pretty unique job in the country which the main income is from agriculture.
His job is to sell dogs, which also are his best friends. He sells both pet dogs and guard dogs. The most expensive animal that his company - Savannah Giant Dogs Breeders and Trainers - sells, the Caucasian mountain dog, goes for around $800 (£510).
The company, which Mr Nkwanga founded in 2000 and employs eight people, is situated on the outskirts of Kampala, Uganda's capital. A Labrador puppy sells for about $400 and a German shepherd which every customer likes according to the entrepreneur sells for around $200. Also, among his dogs, not all of them are cute puppies, also there are some guard dogs which has long legs and look fiercely. Alex Nkwang starts up a successful company in Uganda, not only for his dilegence, but more likely is a result of his intrest in dogs."It's an expensive venture but it's worthwhile, especially when you love to do what you're doing."

Isaac Newton

One of the most famous accomplishments from Newton is the discovery and the application of Calculus in maths.Newton had the essence of the methods of fluxions by 1666. The first to become known, privately, to other mathematicians, in 1668, was his method of integration by infinite series. In Paris in 1675 Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz independently evolved the first ideas of his differential calculus, outlined to Newton in 1677. Newton had already described some of his mathematical discoveries to Leibniz, not including his method of fluxions. In 1684 Leibniz published his first paper on calculus. Another famous discovery is the famous Newton's rule. He discovered the gravity. The famous story that Newton discover the gravity by sitting under an apple tree and got hit by the apple and start to think the reason of apples fall from trees. Newton is a famous mathematician and scientist. The application of Calculus and the discovery of the gravity both have a great influence on me. They both made me have a lot to study during the High school career.

Compare Newton to the famous scientist Stephen Hawking in modern days. Both of them have a great contribution to the science. Stephen Hawking was the professor about time and study about the universe and the black hole. Both of them were from the University of Cambridge, a well-known school which had educated lots of famous scientists in the past 1400 years. Also, both Newton and Hawking used their diligence to succeed, they contributed their whole life to the science.

Industrialism
early-seddonville-train.jpg
Industrial revolution during the 18th century had a great impact to the world from different ways. Industrilazation leads to several severe consequences, one of the major thing is the moral decrepitude. In Manchester, one of the main town that was industrialized during that period, the decrepitude od moral is shown. Manchester has both a terrible environment and a horrible managing government, together, they successfully creat a bad place for residents. The high rate of crime is another result in industrialism. The human moral decrepitude is shown in Manchester.

The main reason of the disparity between the two cities is the type of industry. In Detroit, the main industry is the car sell. The single indutry causes the city to be poor. Especially from the 1980's the depression of the industry. Lots of white people who own the car company left with their wealth to the surburb of Detroit such as Bloomfield Hills. And the worker from the company, mailnly the black people, lost their jobs. And the effect still has a large influence on Detroit right now. And that is a reason for the large percentage of Black people in Detroit.

According to Spencer, Social Darwinism is a concept derived from Darwin's theories, especially the theory of natural selection and the survival of the fittest. But unlike Darwin's theories on nature and the evolution of species, social darwinism refers to politics and social life. Spencer believed that societies became more individualistic, and that people are striving to become independent and to distinguish themselves.

In my opinion, it is apprpritate that President Obama calls the republicants "Social Darwinists". As they suggest to lower the tax of the rich people, it is a behavior that enlarge the diastance between the rich and the poor. This action reduces the survival room for the poor people. And it is an application of "Social Darwinism"

World War I

I learned that the Trench Warfare is more harsh than I initially thought. there are mainly two caueses of the war.
Trench warfare is a form of occupied fighting lines, consisting largely of trenches, in which troops are largely immune to the enemy's small arms fire and are substantially sheltered from artillery. It is a result from the brital attrition that shows the cruel and the greatness of loss during WWI

world-war-1-recruiting-poster.jpg
This poster shows the eager of the US government that it needs people tp join the army. The US military involved in WWI a lot though the main fighting place is not in their territory. They really need people to join them. The total war has used to describe the situation that all citizens are involved in the war. Male from 16 to 65 should be prepared to the war at any time and women started to work in the factory. the situation also raises the society position of women.

The Great Depression

1. It has begun with a catastrophic collapse of stock-market prices on the New York Stock Exchange in October 1929.
Besides ruining many thousands of individual investors, this precipitous decline in the value of assets greatly strained banks and other financial institutions, particularly those holding stocks in their portfolios. Then the depression started to influcence the other part of the world, especially Eruope. After World War I, it is a disaster for the recovering Europe.

2.Map 1 is the effect of depression in America, Map 2 is it in Europe and Map 3 is it affects the whole world.

3.The most common reaction for each country is to raise the tax for citizens and to produce more money. Some other countries make a wrong descion, which causes the depression to influence more people

4. In Germany, the great depression make the loser of World War I even weaker, people had a really suffering life at that time. The depression caused the rise of Adulf Hitler since he promised to others that he will bring bread to them. Thus the Nazis' public-works projects and their rapid expansion of munitions production ended the Depression there by 1936.
